The Housing Partnership is celebrating its 26th Anniversary on Thursday, November 8, 2018. As a United Way agency, HUD approved counseling agency and NeighborWorks America Homeownership Center; the Partnership can proudly look back on many years of creating successful homeowners – over 1,200 homeowners in the last decade alone.

Join us at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany NJ for our 26th Anniversary Believers & Achievers FUN Raiser as we celebrate  with an open bar, great food, silent auction and dancing!  Your attendance and contribution will help make the evening a success and assist the organization in meeting its mission of strengthening communities by creating lasting and responsible home ownership through education and financial coaching.

Best of all, our homeowners are financially healthy – our purchasers have an average credit score  over 700 and less than 1% have foreclosed on their homes!

Visionary Leadership Award: Esperanza Porras-Field

Mrs. Porras-Field is the founder and President Emeritus of the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber of Commerce as well as co-Founder of the Toronto Hispanic Chamber, National Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Health, and the Public & Private Alliance Foundation of the Dominican Republic. She is a former member the Board of Directors of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Foundation and was the Chair of the 2006 National/International Convention & Business Expo. As a member of the Board of Directors, she was the spokeswoman at the XV Congress del Commercio de Detallistas de las Americas in Argentina representing the United States. She is a Broker Associate with Coldwell Banker Realtors, a member of the North Jersey Association of Realtors, award winner of the President’s Club and Multi-Million Dollar Club, and a member of the National Association of Realtors and North Jersey Association for Realtors. In addition, Mrs. Porras-Field manages her own consulting company, HopeSeasons LLC.

A prominent community figure, Mrs. Porras-Field is a dynamic creator and a passionate goal achiever. She has received an abundance of awards including Small Business Administration Advocate of the Year. Her name appears on the American Immigrant Wall of Honor on Ellis Island and Who’s Who among Hispanic Americans. She is an experienced leader, proven manager and an articulate and organized professional. She is a dedicated mother to her two daughters, Hope and Christina Field, who have both completed their Master’s Degrees and now have successful careers. They continue to be the joy of her life.

 

Volunteer of the Year award: Samantha K Boos, Esquire

Samantha K. Boos is an Associate at Casha & Casha, LLC in Montville, NJ.  She regularly speaks at seminars regarding the home-buying process and is well-versed in a large variety of real estate matters, including residential purchases and sales, affordable housing, low- and moderate-income programs, high-end luxury home transactions, and commercial purchases and sales.

Ms. Boos’ main areas of practice include residential and commercial real estate, estate planning and administration, guardianship for incapacitated adults, business law, and family law.  She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.  She is also an active member of the Montville Kiwanis Club and volunteers regularly with DAWNcil, an independent living center with a focus on providing support to persons with disabilities.

Samantha earned her Juris Doctorate from New England Law | Boston, where she participated in the Family Law Clinic as an SJC 3:03 Certified Student Attorney. She served as Judicial Intern to the Honorable Joseph A. Dickson, United States Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey, and attended Caldwell University for her Bachelor of Arts, where she majored in English and minored in Art. She graduated from Caldwell University magna cum laude.
