Affordable Housing Application Success

Thank you for placing your name on our interested parties list.

At this time, you may want to register for a homebuyer education workshop to help you prepare for your purchase! Once you complete the workshop, you will work with a homeownership specialist who will help you work on your savings, credit and ensure you can secure a mortgage. Here is the link to register for the workshop. https://www.housingpartnershipnj.org/homebuyer-workshops/

How the Interested Parties List Works:

1. Once your name is on this list you will receive emails on homes as they become available based on your income and household size.

2. If you are interested in this home, you would contact the Housing Partnership to let us know of your interest.

3. You will then receive an email with instructions on viewing the home.

4. After viewing the home, if you would like to enter the lottery for the home you would submit a preliminary application which would be distributed at the viewing of the home. (Preliminary applications must include a pre-approval from an approved bank to be included in the lottery).

5. After the lottery you will receive an email with the lottery results along with a full application which must be completed and returned to the Housing Partnership within 7 days.

6. The Housing Partnership will process these applications based on the results of the lottery and the first household we are able to certify will be allowed to sign a contract with the homeowner. We recommend that you complete this application even if you do not come in first as we are not always able to certify the person who is first and we will move on to the next application we received (based on lottery results).
